Taiwan-Made Mystery Adventure Psycho-Sleuth Traps 13 People With Cognitive Disorders in a Death Game

Psycho-Sleuth, a mystery death-game adventure from Taiwanese indie studio PHOSEPO, launches on PC (Steam / STOVE) on November 5. Thirteen Afflicted Ones — each with a different cognitive disorder, from being unable to lie to being unable to perceive their left side or remember faces — are drawn into a death game where whoever completes the perfect crime becomes a god who grants wishes. In Debate Mode, players read what other participants say, present evidence, and refute their claims to uncover the truth behind murder scenes distorted by cognitive disorders. The game supports English.

Inspired by Kafka’s Before the Law, ILCA’s Box-Pushing Puzzle Forgery : Before the Law (Study) Is Free

In September, ILCA launched the Steam store page for the 3D puzzle-adventure Forgery : Before the Law (Study). It draws on Franz Kafka’s short story Before the Law and mythology. As in Sokoban, players push boxes placed around the environment to clear obstacles, making their way through abstract spaces reminiscent of surrealist paintings toward a gate. The game has six stages in total, with an estimated playtime of 30 minutes to an hour. Clearing a stage reveals hints for interpreting the work’s themes and meaning. It supports English and is planned for release as a free title.
