ECHOES, a short adventure game and the first title Bigo has taken all the way to completion, is earning high praise in Steam user reviews.

ECHOES is set in a world after a war against machines has ended. A young man who wakes up in the ruins meets a half-broken android girl who can no longer understand human speech. Players follow the five days the two spend together, piecing together meaning from the girl’s broken, garbled voice.

The game has simple puzzle elements. It branches into three different endings. Playtime runs from 0.5 to 1.0 hours. Since the game itself is short and free, there is no separate demo version.

Development and publishing are handled by the solo developer Bigo. All of the artwork, music, and story are Bigo’s own work. According to reports from Japanese gaming media, Bigo began posting creative work on X in August 2025, practicing game development, pixel art, and background music production. Bigo has explained that making a game with self-drawn art, self-composed music, and a self-written story had long been a personal goal, and that this is the first time Bigo has managed to see it through to completion. The sources do not explicitly state whether Bigo has released any earlier work.

The game went live at 19:00 Japan time on July 31 (that’s morning on the U.S. East Coast and midday in Europe the same day). It is available only on PC via Steam, and it is free of charge.

There were 41 user reviews when Japanese gaming media reported on them on August 3, and the count had grown to 46 when checked on August 4; all of the reviews that could be confirmed were positive.

However, as of August 3, 2026, the Steam store page listed Japanese as the only supported language for the interface, audio, and subtitles. Whether the game will support English or other languages could not be confirmed from the sources.
