GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink - Endless Ragnarok launches July 9 in Japan (July 8 in North America) as a PlayStation 5/PlayStation 4 title. The game is a major expansion that substantially evolves GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink, the action RPG that launched on PS5 and PS4 in 2024.
Pricing and editions
The PS5 package version carries a suggested retail price of ¥6,930 (about $46), while the PS5/PS4 digital Standard Edition is also priced at ¥6,930 (about $46) and the digital Special Edition at ¥9,900 (about $66). For those who already own Relink, a digital upgrade kit is available, with the Standard Edition priced at ¥3,960 (about $26) and the Special Edition at ¥6,490 (about $43). For newcomers, a bundle containing both the base Relink game and the upgrade kit is also available.
The first production run of the package version, along with digital pre-orders, comes with the “GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink – Endless Ragnarok Guts III / Auto-Revive III Gene Set” bonus. The pre-order window for the digital version bonus closed on July 8 in Japan (July 7 in North America).
On the PlayStation Store, a demo is available for players experiencing Relink for the first time through Endless Ragnarok. It includes a Story Mode covering the early part of the narrative, a Quest Mode with four types of quests, and a Tutorial Mode covering basic controls and battle mechanics. Players who already have Relink save data can carry it over, and the game supports cross-play across platforms.
New content and features
The story of Endless Ragnarok begins after clearing the battle against Proto Bahamut, which becomes available in the latter half of the Relink portion of the game. New bosses, including Belzebub and The World, appear as the story progresses. The playable roster expands from the 22 characters featured in Relink to 28, with six new additions: Galanza (voiced by Koichi Yamadera), Magiraflila (voiced by Saori Hayami), Beatrix, Eustace, Frau, and Fediel. Galanza and Magiraflila, who appeared as enemies in Relink, join the protagonist’s party as allies as the story progresses in Endless Ragnarok.
A new battle system called Summon lets players equip “summon stones,” obtained by progressing through the story, to call upon a variety of characters — from powerful boss characters to non-combatant townsfolk. A new mechanic, Ascend Chain, has also been added; it triggers alongside Chain Burst, the four-character combined skill attack, when certain conditions are met, summoning Proto Bahamut or the primal beast Excalibur to unleash a powerful attack. Numerous new top-tier CHAOS quests have also been added, challenging players with new enemies including the apocalyptic beast Ragnarion. A new single-player-only feature called Kyokuton Kuusho (tentative romanization) unlocks at Chapter 6 of the main story in the Relink portion of the game. On the progression side, a new Master Skill system has been introduced: each character has three battle styles, and raising a newly unlocked Master Level lets players select and acquire Master Skills tied to each style. Additionally, Assist Mode — which in Relink could not be used on quests above a certain difficulty — can now be used continuously from the start of Relink through the ending of Endless Ragnarok.
