beatMARIO, who leads the music and doujin circle COOL&CREATE, has adapted the circle’s own arrangement, “Internet Survivor,” directly into a game. The result, Internet Survivor Survivors, launched on Steam on August 16, 2026.

COOL&CREATE is a Japanese circle known for its arrangements of Touhou Project music. Steam’s developer and publisher fields also credit “beatMARIO / COOL&CREATE.” According to the official site, beatMARIO handled planning and production, MARON handled direction, and dBu handled programming. The game was also distributed at COOL&CREATE’s booth at Comic Market 108 on the same day it launched.

The source material, “Internet Survivor,” is a music arrangement released in 2022. It is performed by Ayaponzu* and beatMARIO, and Famitsu reports that the track has been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube. According to the official site’s soundtrack credits, the track is MARON’s arrangement of the Touhou Project song “U.N. Owen wa Kanojo na no ka?” (U.N.オーエンは彼女なのか?).

The game is a top-down action roguelite in which the player controls Flandre Scarlet and fights enemies as a streamer. The health gauge represents the player’s “viewer count,” which rises when enemies are defeated and falls when the player is hit; if it reaches zero, the player’s smartphone breaks, ending the game. “Likes” and coins dropped by defeated enemies can be used to power up weapons and stats. The ultimate goal is to reach one million subscribers. Seven characters appear in total, including Cirno, Hong Meiling, Patchouli Knowledge, and Sakuya Izayoi. The final boss is Remilia Scarlet, now an “ultra-famous, charismatic streamer.”

The official materials explicitly state that the game is a fan work, not an official product from the original creator, Team Shanghai Alice. Commentary videos, livestreams, and video uploads are all permitted, and according to Denfaminicogamer, official monetization features on services such as YouTube can also be used. The official site provides guidelines and thumbnail assets for that purpose. The game is available only on PC (Windows). It supports four languages — Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese — for its interface, audio, and subtitles. The official site states that Korean support is planned to be added soon after release.
