On August 27, 2026, SpiralAI posted a notice in its official announcements section that addressed conduct violating the terms of service for its AI chat-style RPG app RyzaChat:AI and included a request to users.

The notice has two main points. The first is a request for users to check the terms of service before using the app. The second is a warning about the unauthorized extraction of in-app character assets and voice data, and about unofficial AI-generated images and videos of Ryza spreading on social media. SpiralAI states that it will work with relevant parties to respond appropriately to malicious cases.

RyzaChat:AI is an app developed by SpiralAI under license from Koei Tecmo Games. It is based on Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. Character design supervision is handled by Toridamono. Ryza is voiced by Yuri Noguchi, who also voiced her in the original game. With her permission, new lines were recorded for use in voice synthesis. The app is available on iOS and Android.

The app launched on August 25, 2026. It had originally been scheduled for August 18, but was delayed to increase server capacity after pre-registration drew a stronger-than-expected response. The official website states that the app is currently available in Japan, with a global version in preparation.

On the same day, August 27, SpiralAI also announced that the total number of exchanges with Ryza had surpassed one million. The operator stated that it does not intend for the service to be something players finish after a single session, and said it will continue adding new seasonal and event-themed skins and rolling out updates to make conversations more enjoyable. As a new way to play, it is also planning a mode that would let up to four people play through the story together with Ryza. Further details are set to be announced at a later date.
