SEGA has announced that STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, a new action-adventure title from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG Studio), will be showcased at “TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026,” which runs from September 17 to 21, 2026, at Makuhari Messe.
The SEGA/ATLUS Booth will serve as the focal point for a total of seven programs, including an updated playable demo, a theater featuring unreleased music, a special stage running for five consecutive days, and a walkthrough museum.
TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026’s public days run from September 19 to 21.

A Playable Demo With New Adjustments and Updates

At the venue, visitors will be able to play the latest version of the battle demo that was previously shown at media events, now featuring various adjustments and updates.
It’s a rare opportunity for general attendees to actually get hands-on with STRANGER THAN HEAVEN’s combat system.
A Theater Featuring Unreleased Music

At the theater, visitors can get an early look at music videos from STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, including unreleased tracks. Three different programs will be offered, each centered on a different character, and visitors can apply for their preferred screening slot.
With some exceptions, admission requires advance reservation, and applications will be accepted from August 17 to 23, 2026. Winners are expected to be notified from late August through early September. Details on how to apply will be announced on STRANGER THAN HEAVEN’s official X account.
A Special Stage Held Every Day for Five Days

At the SEGA/ATLUS Booth, a STRANGER THAN HEAVEN stage program will be held on all five days of the show.
There are also plans for segments in which attendees can play the TGS2026 demo, in addition to special talk sessions featuring guests. The stage will be streamed on RGG Studio’s official YouTube channel and SEGA’s official YouTube channel.
A Walkthrough Museum Spanning Five Eras

An experiential exhibit built around the “Five Eras” featured in the game will also be on hand, and it requires no reservation.
Visitors will be able to walk through museum zones that recreate a different setting for each era. The announcement images also indicate plans to show interview footage with cast members and developers.
Limited Novelties for Visiting, Playing, and Pre-Ordering

Three types of original promotional items will be given out depending on whether visitors come to the STRANGER THAN HEAVEN corner, take part in the demo or theater, or show proof of a pre-order for the game.
- Original paper fan: given out near the STRANGER THAN HEAVEN corner
- Original neck strap: given out to those who take part in the theater or the demo
- Original analog stick covers: given out to visitors who can show proof of a pre-order for the game at the venue
Distribution of each item will end once the planned supply for that day runs out. As the items are still being finalized, the actual products may differ somewhat from what’s shown.
An Official Discord Participation Campaign

Visitors who show proof at the venue that they’ve joined the official STRANGER THAN HEAVEN Discord can receive a special clear card on a first-come, first-served basis. The announced period for this is September 17 to 21, 2026.
A social media posting campaign is also planned. Visitors can share their impressions and other posts on X, Instagram, and other platforms with the hashtag “#ストレンジャーザンヘヴンTGS” (the campaign hashtag, kept in Japanese).
