A boss’s weakness, or the special move that actually works — none of it is written down anywhere. The only thing to go on is rumors circulating on social media within the game. The deduction adventure Thank You 4 Playing launches on Steam on January 8, 2027.
The story takes place on the very day a new entry in an in-universe legendary action game series goes on sale. Since the game has only just come out, no walkthroughs or guide videos exist yet. Players piece together fragments posted on social media within the game, working out what a boss’s weakness is, which special move is effective, how to fight, and how to clear each stage. The clues gathered go into the game journal, and filling every page clears that stage.

Controls are limited to clicking, and the expected playtime is two to three hours. The Steam store page suggests having something to take notes with on hand.
The game was originally released for free on unityroom, a browser game site, for one month in August 2026. It’s developed by Libragames, run by solo developer Nes. Following the response to that free release, it’s being re-released as a paid version on Steam.
The Steam version adds one new boss, two new characters who appear on in-game social media, a new ending illustration, and a fully redesigned UI. On the music side, English versions of the original Japanese songs are added, and a soundtrack collecting every song plus more will also be available. It supports five languages: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.
Return of the Obra Dinn is a well-known example of an adventure game where players gather clues and work out the truth for themselves. What Thank You 4 Playing swaps out is the subject of that deduction. What players gather here is information on how to clear a difficult game right after its release, which makes the current gaming environment itself — one flooded with walkthrough sites and videos — the game’s subject matter.
