The NieR:Automata Collection arrives in Dead by Daylight on October 6, the game’s official X account announced. Dead by Daylight, available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, is an asymmetric online multiplayer game in which one Killer hunts four Survivors.
“The fight for humanity continues in The Fog,” the post begins. The Fog is Dead by Daylight’s setting.

Still unannounced: whether the contents are characters or outfits, how many items there are, what the price will be, which platforms it will be available on, and how to obtain it.
Dead by Daylight has used the “Collection” name before. The Silent Hill Collection in August 2023 put “Maria,” a Legendary Outfit for the Survivor Cheryl Mason, in the in-game store. Cheryl had arrived in June 2020 with the Silent Hill Chapter, based on Konami Digital Entertainment’s series, alongside the Killer Pyramid Head and the map Midwich Elementary School.
Other games have also appeared in Dead by Daylight as Chapters. Capcom’s Resident Evil joined in June 2021. Castlevania, another Konami Digital Entertainment series, brought the Killer Dracula, the Survivor Trevor Belmont and a whip only the Belmont family can use.
NieR:Automata was developed by PlatinumGames and published by SQUARE ENIX in 2017. The publisher announced in February 2026 that combined shipments and digital sales had passed 10 million copies.

In a match, Survivors play in third person, repairing machinery on the map as they work toward escape, while the Killer hunts them in first person. Maps are procedurally generated.
Will the NieR:Automata Collection follow the Silent Hill Collection and bring outfits rather than new characters? The answer arrives in The Fog on October 6, if not sooner.
