The interview was published in Famitsu. The development team explained that the new boss, Twinkle Girl, was the very first character they created and that the staff feel a deep attachment to her. They also discussed why the title uses a subtitle rather than the number “12.” The game is set for release in 2027 on multiple platforms.

Finding Polka Wins the “Most Wholesome” Award at gamescom award 2026

Finding Polka, developed by two-person studio lidlocks and published by PARCO GAMES, has won the “Most Wholesome” award at gamescom award 2026, held in Cologne, Germany. The game launched on August 11, 2026, and this marks at least its fifth award to date. It has previously been recognized at BitSummit PUNCH, won the top prize at SELECTED INDIE 80, and was honored at South Korea’s Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026.

Hatsune Miku’s International Project BEYOND BORDERs Releases Second Single “Light”

BEYOND BORDERs, the international music project for Hatsune Miku led by DWANGO Co., Ltd., has released its second single, “Light.” The drum and bass track features U.S. rapper-producer slayr, music unit XAMIYA, and Japanese music creator picco, and an official visualizer was released alongside it. The collaborative EP EMERGE M♡DE MIKU, due out September 25, will feature at least seven overseas artists, including Grimes and MOLIY.

Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles Kicks Off Silver Rathalos Comeback Event

Capcom’s smartphone puzzle game Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles kicked off a comeback event on August 29, 2026, that brings back Silver Rathalos. The event runs for about ten days, through September 8. Silver Rathalos may intrude on quests in progress, and defeating it yields points and materials. Rewards also include a new Felyne companion.

1/7 Scale Figure of Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Nia Gets a Rerelease

Good Smile Company is rereleasing a 1/7 scale figure of Nia from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, capturing her in the form she takes after awakening as a Blade. The rerelease is of the figure originally released in June 2023 using clear materials and pearl paint, with pre-orders open from August 28 through October 7, 2026. Shipping is planned for May 2027.
