hololive’s First TV Anime Project Gets Underway, Nicknamed Odeholo, With Details Coming September 23

hololive production announced on September 7, 2026, that its first-ever TV anime project has gotten underway as part of a commemorative initiative ahead of the company’s 10th anniversary. The project’s nickname is Odeholo. Animation production will be handled by Studio KAI, which has previously worked on official hololive animations and music videos. Details of the story and cast have not yet been revealed. They will all be unveiled in a one-hour special program streaming on September 23. Momosuzu Nene, Omaru Polka, and Yukihana Lamy are among the four performers appearing on the program, with Shirakami Fubuki and Ookami Mio serving as hosts.

UMINEKOwalKing, a two-person development team, released a free demo for the psychological horror adventure BLACKOUT: Fatal Exposure on Steam on September 7, 2026. Players look through photos sent to them one by one, searching for those said to show a ghost. As that work continues, everyday life starts to unravel bit by bit. The demo covers the first two weeks of the story, with a playtime of around 30 minutes. The full game is planned for release in the first quarter of 2027 and will be published by Glowstick Entertainment.

Game creator Mana and Kodansha launched a Steam store page for CaTHaRSiS: The last of atelier on September 7, 2026. Players take on the role of a nameless being, traveling through ten stages themed on paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Gustav Klimt to gather memories left behind within them. Controls change from stage to stage, with 3D exploration, side-scrolling, and travel by boat, along with sections where players ride on the back of a wolf or an owl. The game has no game-over state or time limit, and each stage takes about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.

Party-Building Roguelike RPG Dungeon Picnic Gets a Demo, Will Also Appear at October’s Steam Next Fest

Solo developer Lapismine released a demo for the party-building roguelike RPG Dungeon Picnic on Steam on September 7, 2026. Battles use a turn-based card system, with the whole party sharing a mana pool; mana is spent to unleash skills and recovered as the fight goes on. Staggering an enemy grants bonuses such as an extra turn or an increase to mana recovery. The demo features a fixed party of four characters, while the full game will let players choose their characters. Demo save data cannot be carried over to the full game. Dungeon Picnic will also appear at Steam Next Fest, taking place October 19.
