DRAGON QUEST Series Passes 100 Million in Combined Shipments and Digital Sales
Square Enix announced that combined shipments and digital sales of the DRAGON QUEST series have passed 100 million units. The figure combines physical shipments with digital download sales of mainline entries since April 2015. Yuji Horii sent a thank-you message, and a video was published on the company’s official YouTube channel.

Chrono Trigger’s Masato Kato Writes the Scenario for Another Eden Begins, Out Now Worldwide
Studio Prisma, a WFS subsidiary, has launched the time-travel RPG Another Eden Begins simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). The studio was founded by staff behind the mobile game Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space, and Another Eden Begins is its new console entry. Masato Kato, known for Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, wrote the scenario, and Yasunori Mitsuda composed the music. The game supports English voice acting and subtitles, and has more than 10 different endings.

PATLABOR the Case Files Launches, With Original Staff Joining as Supervisors
PATLABOR the Case Files, a 3D action game developed by Chime and published by Good Smile Company, has launched on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). Players relive famous scenes from both the film and TV versions of Patlabor, fighting as either the protagonists or their opponents. More than 20 of the series’ humanoid machines, called Labors, are playable. Yutaka Izubuchi supervised the Labors’ mechanical designs, Kazunori Ito supervised the script, and Akemi Takada supervised the character art; Kenji Kawai composed the main theme. The game supports English voice acting and subtitles.

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother Began With the Idea of an Atelier Game Starring Maomao
Koei Tecmo Games’ Gust brand and Toho’s TOHO Games revealed how The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother came together at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026. A producer at Toho pitched Gust’s Junzo Hosoi on the idea of making an Atelier game starring Maomao, and the pitch turned into a project on the spot. Players control Maomao and Jinshi, investigating incidents in the rear palace with the help of Compounding, a mechanic based on knowledge of pharmacology. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam), with a release planned for early 2027.

Publisher One or Eight announced that the action RPG Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL will begin Steam Early Access on November 13. Playing as a Bounder summoned to another world, players switch Classes using more than 20 types of hats while repairing a run-down house and expanding the village. Next door, in the Demon King’s Castle, the idol Demon King puts on a live show that riles up the monsters, causing them to surge into the village. The game supports English subtitles.
