Devour Monsters, Change Shape: The Stupid Never Dies Team Breaks Down the Music
In Stupid Never Dies, the zombie hero Davy eats the elite monsters he defeats and takes on 11 forms. SEGA has released the third episode of DEEP BITE, a video series in which the developers explain the game. This episode covers the music and features Hiroyuki Kobayashi, head of GPTRACK50 and the game’s producer, on camera. The video opens with Davy’s theme. The tracks are metal, rock, and electronic, and the music changes between dungeon exploration, the hub, and boss fights. The First Bite Demo is out now on PlayStation Store and Steam. It runs about two hours, and save data carries over to the full game. The Steam version launches October 21, with English audio and subtitles.

Banishing Spirits With a Missing Mother’s Cell Phone: Horror Game Signal Veil
Tokyo’s Serafini Productions and Time Hunters of Chile are co-developing Signal Veil, a third-person survival horror game. The protagonist is a high school student, Aki Mizuno. Her missing mother’s old cell phone vibrates and gives off static when spirits are near. The phone is a radar for finding spirits, a flash that stuns them, and a weapon that deflects their attacks. The setting, Nishikawa High School, warps as Aki’s sanity wears down. Each enemy goes down in five steps: find it, provoke it, stun it, expose its true form, and purify it. The game uses fixed camera angles, and ammo and medicine are scarce. The game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with no release date announced. English is supported.
