Dropping Drops, With Sound by the Xevious Composer: An Interview With Its Two Makers
Game*Spark has published an interview with the two people behind Dropping Drops, a puzzle game that came out on Steam in September. They are a developer at Mindware who also builds MIDI controllers, and Yuriko Keino, a former NAMCO sound designer who handled the sound for Dropping Drops and whose credits include Xevious, Phozon and Dig Dug. According to the interview, production began around October 2025. The screen resolution is 288×224, matching the resolution of the old NAMCO arcade boards.
In the game, you arrange 300 falling DROPs into shapes. A DROP that falls off the screen comes back from the top. Different shapes are worth different points, and a marked DROP scores 10 times as much. Place them all to clear the stage. A failed attempt doesn’t end in a game over. Each course has four stages. You can also play with the faders and lights on KORG’s nanoKONTROL2 MIDI controller. English is supported.

Bless You Again, Where Swinging a Staff Builds Mana, Gets a Steam Demo
Gino Inc. has released a free demo of Bless You Again, an anime-style roguelite action game, on Steam. The protagonist goes after the alchemical Philosopher’s Stone and dives into a labyrinth whose layout changes every run. Hit enemies with a staff to build mana, then spend that mana on spells. You switch between melee and magic as you go, and the Blessings and skills you pick up along the way change your build. When you fall, you return to your base and get stronger. A single run takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
The demo covers the intro and the first dungeon, and you can play as the protagonist and one other character. Demo saves don’t carry over to the full game. Posting stream footage is allowed, including monetized videos. The full game is planned for release in 2026 with five dungeons and five playable characters, and it supports English.
