Capcom’s official team-based league, Street Fighter League JAPAN 2026, opens on August 25, Japan Standard Time.
Three Division S matches are scheduled for opening day: FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN vs. KADOKAWA FAV gaming, Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto vs. Hiroshima TEAM iXA, and ZETA DIVISION Geekly vs. Crazy Raccoon. Every match in this round will be streamed for free on the Capcom Fighters JP YouTube channel and on Twitch. Coverage begins at 18:40 Japan Standard Time on August 25, which is 2:40 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time and 11:40 a.m. Central European Summer Time the same day.
Ahead of the opening, pre-season interview videos for each participating team have also been released.
According to Capcom’s official release, members of the VTuber group “VSPO!”, who serve as the tournament’s official support ambassadors, will mirror-stream every match in this round. A mirror stream is a simultaneous stream in which a separate streamer provides commentary alongside the official broadcast. Capcom’s release specifies that interviews with standout players from each match will be conducted during VSPO! members’ streams. However, the release does not state which members are assigned to which round or how many will take part, and it asks viewers to check announcements from VSPO! members themselves or within the broadcasts. Separately from the official support ambassadors, mirror streams will also be run by pro streamers associated with the competing players and teams.
This is the second consecutive year that VSPO! has served as the league’s official support ambassadors. Last season, in Street Fighter League: Pro-JP 2025, three members held the role: Kisaragi Ren, Choya Hanabi, and Amayui Moka. This season, Kaminari Qpi and Aizawa Ema have joined them, bringing the ambassador count to five. Brave group Inc., which operates VSPO!, explained that the two new additions were chosen because of their enthusiastic engagement with the game.
The other division, Division F, opens three days later on August 28, with three matches: RIDDLE ORDER vs. DetonatioN FocusMe, Nagoya NTPOJA vs. Good 8 Squad, and VARREL vs. REJECT. Ahead of that, on August 10 and 11, the Pre-Season Division Showdown was also held, featuring 24 players from each Division for a total of 48 competitors. The competition’s title game, Street Fighter 6, is a fighting game that launched worldwide simultaneously on June 2, 2023.
