The Los Angeles stop of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby world tour, THE STAGE, has been canceled because the US visa required for the event could not be obtained. Cygames announced it shortly before the event. The cancellation covers both scheduled dates for Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES: Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23.

The game has you raise Umamusume, characters named after racehorses, and send them racing. Its Steam version, with English support, has been available since June 2025. Fans are known as Trainers.

Cygames plans refunds for four things: venue tickets, streaming tickets, the official tour package (Umamusume × JTB 7th EVENT THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES OFFICIAL TOUR), and live-viewing tickets for the broadcast screenings. That includes people who planned to watch the stream rather than travel to the venue.

Separate from the ticket refunds, what Cygames will do for people who planned to attend the show in person has yet to be determined. Cygames says it is still considering the matter and will post an update on the 7th EVENT website once a decision has been made.

The day before the cancellation decision, the official site and official X account had said visa approval had not yet come through and that a final decision would follow the next day. Preparation began more than six months earlier, and according to 4Gamer.net, the team pursued the visa application with help from local lawyers and a promoter. Cygames says it coordinated with the parties involved and explored every option before giving up on holding the event.

Our August story covered the game’s 5.5th anniversary update.
