Throw a flower bud from the World Tree and it blooms into a flower that cushions a drop you’d never survive otherwise. That’s one way down in Where the Seeds Fall, an action game about descending a collapsing world to the ground, and a free demo is out now on Steam. The full game launches November 5, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
It’s the first title from CygamesEdge, a new brand from Cygames, Inc., and it’s download-only. The main story runs about 3 hours. It supports five languages: Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
The setting: people who fled the Blight-covered land below built a country on the branches of the World Tree. One soldier defies orders and takes a Fell Child down to the ground.

You size up footholds, read the wind, and aim for a landing spot as you work your way down. The Fell Child’s power lets you hover briefly or pull off something like a double jump, draining a gauge as you do.
CygamesEdge’s brand producer says the controls are deliberately a little unstable: the brakes don’t quite bite, and you slide a bit. The idea is for players to feel the tension of the descent before anything else.

The demo is a harder cut with no story: every action is unlocked from the start, and a run takes about 15 to 30 minutes. Clearing the full game unlocks a high-difficulty map and a time attack mode. The fastest in-house clear is 1 hour 10 minutes, according to CygamesEdge.
The demo should let you try the main ways of combining buds with the Fell Child’s power. If the studio’s best run already gets through a roughly 3-hour story in 1 hour 10 minutes, the route you choose on the way down will likely decide time attack records.
It started as an outstanding entry in a Cygames in-house game contest, built on an idea its creator had carried for about 10 years.
