FURYU CORPORATION announced that it has changed its policy for the Steam demos of ANOMALITH and CRYMELIGHT, which had been available for a limited time through August 9, and will no longer set an end date for them.

Three outlets — Game*Spark, 4Gamer.net, and AUTOMATON — reported the change at 8:00 p.m. Japan time on August 8 (7:00 a.m. Eastern Time and 1:00 p.m. Central European Time the same day). Both demos had originally been scheduled to end on August 9, Japan time. FURYU said it lifted the deadline because the number of plays exceeded its expectations. For CRYMELIGHT, FURYU noted in its own announcement that it decided to keep the demo available after players said they wanted to “play it longer.” The demos will remain available going forward, letting players try both titles ahead of launch.

For ANOMALITH, the numbers moved too. Game*Spark reports that the game received about 20,000 wishlist additions after the demo’s release.

FURYU also unveiled a three-stage update plan for ANOMALITH. In late August, it will improve keyboard-and-mouse controls and fix bugs. In late September, it will add a high-difficulty mode based on feedback gathered from the demo. In early October, it will release additional demos for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. That will make the game playable on all three platforms before launch.

ANOMALITH is a survival third-person shooter coming to three platforms: PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. It is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026, though Steam’s English-language store page lists the release date as October 28.
