On August 4, 2026, FURYU CORPORATION announced that Steam wishlist registrations for ANOMALITH, an action RPG due out in October, had reached a cumulative total of 60,000.

FURYU is offering ANOMALITH Demo on Steam for a limited time from August 1 to August 9. In just three days since the early demo launched on August 1, ANOMALITH received over 10,000 new Steam wishlists, bringing the total to 60,000 shortly after reaching 50,000.

FURYU reported reaching this milestone on its official X account at 11:00 a.m. Japan time on August 4 (10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 3; 4:00 a.m. Central European Time on August 4).

This was achieved faster than we expected, and the “60,000-wishlist celebration content” we announced when we passed 50,000 is still in production.

There’s a backstory to this number. FURYU had been directly addressing the reputation of its own games ever since the day it unveiled ANOMALITH. A post made at 12:02 p.m. Japan time on May 22, 2026 (11:02 p.m. Eastern Time on May 21; 5:02 a.m. Central European Time on May 22) opens with the following line:

We refuse to stop at simply having a good world and atmosphere.

In the same post, FURYU also wrote this:

At the same time, we take it to heart that many people have the impression that, while FURYU’s games have a great world and atmosphere, the actual gameplay feel is a concern.

FURYU then revealed that it had already taken concrete steps. Before the title was unveiled, the company had gathered more than 10 game media outlets for hands-on preview sessions to get candid reviews, asking reporters to focus on exploration, customization, combat, and the game’s feel as a third-person shooter. ANOMALITH’s wishlist count passed 10,000 on the day of the announcement and topped 20,000 on May 24.

ANOMALITH is an action RPG set in Japan in the year 20██. The protagonist, 17-year-old Reona Minazuki, works as a diver for the government-backed Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office, diving into Anomaly Zones that have suddenly begun appearing as she searches for her missing best friend. She is voiced by Hitomi Ueda. Gameplay revolves around a loop of Dive, Retrieve, and Return. Players manage their ammunition while deciding what to retrieve and which weapons to use against hostile beings called Anomalies. Anomalization Skills, which serve both offensive and defensive purposes, let players turn the tide of battle. Anomalous materials brought back can be used to develop weapons and equipment. The scenario is written by Romeo Tanaka, the music is composed by Yuka Kitamura, and the character design is by MON.

The game will be available on three platforms: PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. It will launch as a finished product rather than in early access. The release date is October 29, 2026, though Steam’s own store data lists October 28, one day earlier, and the reason for the discrepancy has not been identified. The interface and subtitles support five languages, including English, but full voice acting is Japanese only.
