Flick to close the distance, pick a card from your hand, and slash. Tap the screen to fill the draw gauge, then play another card. That is the loop in BLEACH Mirrors High. You build both the Soul Reaper doing the fighting and the sword they wield.
You choose one of two new Soul Reapers that Tite Kubo, the creator of BLEACH, drew for this game. They come with names, Shirin Migishima and Shirane Sanari, but you don’t have to keep them. You can set your Soul Reaper’s name, face, hairstyle, hair color, eyes and clothes. Your Soul Reaper joins the 13 Court Guard Squads, the organization Soul Reapers belong to in BLEACH, and heads into an original story set after the Thousand-Year Blood War, the final arc of the manga.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing and publishing the game for iOS and Android. Release is planned for 2026, and no date has been announced yet. It is free to play, with in-app purchases that include gacha. A US App Store listing is already up under Bandai Namco Entertainment, with English among the languages it lists. English was also among the supported languages for the closed beta in July.
A Zanpakuto is not handed to you. You assemble it
The sword a Soul Reaper fights with is called a Zanpakuto. In this game, it does not come attached to a character. You choose a blade, a guard and a hilt, put them together, and set the fighting style as well. Neither Shirin Migishima nor Shirane Sanari has a fixed Zanpakuto.
A team of three, one card at a time — and a swap when things go wrong
You take a team of three into a fight. The Action Cards in your hand include Chain Attacks. Even a Mortal Blow, a character’s special move, is played from that same hand. The cards in your hand change depending on the character. In the beta, techniques straight from the manga could be played as cards too.
Flick left or right to dodge incoming attacks. When a fight turns against you, swap the active Soul Reaper for another member of the team. The team’s combined attack is called Soul Drive.
You build your own Soul Reaper, but the allies who stand alongside them come from the gacha. What you pull are characters, with rarity shown in stars.
The official genre name is “Immersive 13 Court Guard Squads Action.” Instead of watching the cast of BLEACH from outside, you are the one standing in the ranks.
The story picks up after the Thousand-Year Blood War
The July beta covered only the opening of the story. It starts with an animated sequence in which Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki fight each other. Then the Soul Reaper you chose opens their eyes, and the game proper begins. For anyone who has finished the manga, or the anime’s final arc, what follows is a new story.
Tite Kubo has been in the room since the kickoff meeting
In a game based on a manga, how much does the manga’s creator actually take part? Kubo is credited with the original character concept and design. Beyond that credit, he was involved from the very first kickoff meeting and worked on the title, scenario and character designs. He is also said to have taken part in the voice auditions and the recording sessions.
The project was announced in December 2025, with a trailer and a video message from Kubo himself.
Pre-registration is open on the English page too
Pre-registration started on August 29, 2026. The official English site announced it the same day, with its own pre-registration link, separate from the Japanese one.
Before that, in July, sign-ups for the closed beta were announced onstage at Anime Expo 2026, along with a new trailer. The test ran for about a week that month, on a scale of around 20,000 players.
