Beast of Reincarnation is an entirely new title from GAME FREAK inc., the studio known for Pokémon, and it marks the company’s first high-end action RPG. It launched on August 4, 2026, for three platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Set in Japan in the year 4026, it follows Emma, a protagonist who has lost her memory, and a dog named Koo as they travel together. Game*Spark’s review describes their journey as one that stays with you, even though the pair have to face the same opponent again and again.

Granblue Fantasy and SHAMAN KING Team Up, Starting January 15, 2027
Cygames (Cygames, Inc.) announced on August 8, 2026, that it will launch a collaboration between Granblue Fantasy and SHAMAN KING. The collaboration is set to begin on January 15, 2027, more than four months after the announcement. The news was revealed during a special summer livestream that aired that same day.

Magical Girl Witch Trials and Astral Party Team Up, Starting September 3
A collaboration between Magical Girl Witch Trials and the party game Astral Party will begin on September 3, 2026. The announcement came on August 8, 2026, and further details are expected in a follow-up announcement. Magical Girl Witch Trials was developed by Acacia. The collaboration artwork features four characters, including protagonist Ema. Both games are available on Steam and for smartphones, so readers outside Japan can access them too.
