STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Xbox Series X|S Version Delayed to October 29
Spike Chunsoft has announced that it is delaying the Xbox Series X|S version of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT to October 29, 2026. The version had originally been scheduled for release on August 20, 2026. The company explained that the delay is meant to align the release with the Western console versions, which are also set to launch on October 29, 2026, and it apologized to those who had been waiting for the release. The original work was created by MAGES.

BanG Dream! Our Notes Pre-Registrations Top 1.1 Million Worldwide

Pre-registrations for BanG Dream! Our Notes, a rhythm game from Bushiroad Inc., have topped 1.1 million worldwide. Pre-registration opened simultaneously around the world on June 26, 2026. Once pre-registrations reach 1.5 million, a gacha ticket guaranteeing an SSR will be distributed. The game features MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Mugendai MewType, along with two new bands, millsage and Ikka Dumb Rock!.

Card Battle App Bakutora Launches on Android

The Android version of Bakutora, an online card battle app from YOMOLABO, has launched on Google Play. The iOS version launched earlier, on July 2. The app includes four rule sets: Dobon, a local rule from Japan’s Tokai region; Daifugo (known in English-speaking regions as President); Shichinarabe (known in English-speaking regions as Sevens); and UHO. Up to six players can compete at the same time. It also has an Aikotoba feature that lets players start a match just by sharing a passphrase.

Japanese-Style Puzzle App Dadango Launches on the App Store

The Japanese-style puzzle app Dadango launched on the App Store on August 8, Japan time. It was developed by DaDanGo and is set during the autumn festival at Dadango Jinja, a shrine ablaze with autumn foliage, where a shrine maiden eats her way through the dango. Under the core mechanic, a skewer appears whenever four or more dango of the same flavor are lined up. The app is free to play, with no in-app purchases. It also has no forced video ads or banner ads.

Creative Circle Bungeibu to Distribute 5th-Anniversary Sci-Fi Novel at Comic Market 108
The creative circle Bungeibu will distribute Sora no Hiraketa Basho -CHORD:OOC-, a full-length science fiction visual novel marking Bungeibu’s 5th anniversary, at Comic Market 108. Two people spent five years developing the story into a single full-length work. It will be distributed on August 16, 2026, exclusively at the Comic Market 108 venue. On August 11, Japan time, the circle’s official X account (@Bun_gei) announced the release of a video featuring every track from the soundtrack in full.
