In the weekly ranking that Famitsu published on August 27, 2026, covering August 17 to August 23, 2026, Rhythm Heaven Groove sold an estimated 37,402 copies to take the No. 1 spot for the fifth time.
Rhythm Heaven Groove is a Nintendo Switch title that Nintendo released on July 2, 2026. Its four-player multiplayer mode and the new RPG-style mode “Beatspell” have reportedly received strong support from players. The game launched in North America and Japan on the same day, July 2, 2026, so readers outside Japan can already play it.
No. 2 was Splatoon Raiders for Nintendo Switch 2, with an estimated 13,224 copies sold, and No. 3 was Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream for Nintendo Switch, with an estimated 12,558 copies sold.
All three versions of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT ranked in the Top 10 at once. STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT supports English audio and subtitles. Outside Japan, only the Steam version launched on August 20, the same day the game launched in Japan. The Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions are all scheduled to launch outside Japan on October 29, 2026.
Starsand Island, a farm life simulation game, took No. 10 with an estimated 3,415 copies sold. It launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 20, 2026, with Game Source Entertainment handling the game in Japan. The game is set on tropical Starsand Island and supports English audio and subtitles. An early access version is available on Steam, so readers outside Japan can already play it.
