Rhythm Heaven Groove claimed the weekly No. 1 spot for the seventh time with an estimated 24,756 units sold, and its cumulative sales in Japan have now topped 1 million units.

The tracking period ran from September 7 to September 13, 2026. The figures are Famitsu’s weekly sales estimates for Japan. The game, published by Nintendo for Nintendo Switch, has players work through a series of short minigames, tapping buttons in time with the music. It launched on July 2, the same day as in Japan, and its cumulative sales in Japan passed 1 million units roughly ten weeks later.

Second and fifth place went to Onimusha: Way of the Sword, now in its second week on sale. The PlayStation 5 version sold 19,654 units, and the Nintendo Switch 2 version sold 7,070. Famitsu counts sales by platform, so the two versions of the same game appear as separate entries. The game launched on September 4 and topped 1 million units worldwide on its first day.

Two titles are new entries this week. Sixth-place Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi to Tsukikomori (Nintendo Switch, 3,683 units) bundles together two horror adventure games originally released for the Super Famicom in the 1990s. Tenth-place ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS XIV Complete Edition (Nintendo Switch, 2,797 units) is a complete edition marking the series’ 40th anniversary.

The ninth-place finisher, Village in the Shade (Nintendo Switch 2, 2,837 units), will be published by NIS America, Inc. on October 27.
