Diesel Japan and SQUARE ENIX announced on September 1, 2026, that the collaboration project “DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV” will officially launch on September 16. Under the shared theme “BRAVE,” the collaboration will roll out a 27-piece capsule collection featuring FINAL FANTASY XIV characters and motifs. Art direction is by Kosuke Kawamura.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 gets major update “TU3.2”; new area video for Dark Arisen also released
Capcom released the major update “TU3.2” for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on September 2, 2026. It is the second round of improvements ahead of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, launching October 9, and includes frame rate improvements and increases the number of custom skill set slots from four to six. An introductory video for Dark Arisen’s new area, Norgan, was also released. Players can obtain new gear and skills by having a village character appraise items found in the new area.

Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom and two other titles added to “Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics”
Nintendo added three titles — Ikari Warriors, Dragon Buster, and Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom — to “Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics,” a Japanese service for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, on September 2, 2026. Ninja Gaiden III is an action game Tecmo released in 1991, in which Ryu Hayabusa, framed for the murder of his lover Irene, infiltrates a laboratory to clear his name.

Feature-phone version of Ridge Racer gets a rerelease; Nintendo Switch version arrives September 3, Steam version September 16
G-MODE Corporation announced on September 2, 2026, that it will rerelease the feature-phone version of Ridge Racer for current platforms. The Nintendo Switch version arrives September 3, and the Steam (PC) version arrives September 16. It’s an optimized feature-phone version based on the 1993 arcade release and its 1994 home console port, and it marks the fifth Bandai Namco Entertainment title in the “G-MODE Archives+” lineup. It includes three difficulty modes and four car types.

DRECOM CREATORS STUDIO announces its first three publishing titles
On September 2, 2026, DRECOM CREATORS STUDIO, the publishing studio of Drecom Co., Ltd., announced its first three titles. The lineup includes TIMEMOON (developed by Kenkou Land), a sci-fi adventure in which a taxi driver in a lunar city carries passengers to the past or future; Beautiful Life Show (developed by Fukudanuki), a horror action game in which players rewind the last three seconds and star alongside their own ghost; and Chill Planet (developed by aozorite), an adventure in which girls travel the length of Japan in a dying world. All three will be playable at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026.
