River City Survivors: Downtown of the Dead Launches on Apple Arcade October 1, With More Than 20 Playable Characters to Mow Down Zombies

Arc System Works announced on September 9, 2026, that River City Survivors: Downtown of the Dead, a survivors-like action game in the River City series, will launch as an Apple Arcade exclusive on October 1, 2026. Mowing down hordes of zombies earns experience that powers up the series’ signature Special Moves. Random upgrade options appear with each level-up, letting players build their own loadout. More than 20 characters are playable, including Kunio, and there are six equipment slots. Up to two NPC allies can join in cooperative play.

South Korea’s DAVE THE DIVER Surpasses 10 Million Copies Sold; Mobile Version Launches September 17

MINTROCKET (NEXON Co., Ltd.) announced on September 9, 2026, that cumulative worldwide sales of DAVE THE DIVER, which was developed in South Korea, have surpassed 10 million copies. The game has players diving for fish by day and serving that catch as sushi by night. Since its full release in 2023, collaborations with Godzilla, Like a Dragon, and DREDGE, along with the story expansion DLC In the Jungle — released in June and selling more than 1 million copies on its own — have helped drive sales, according to the companies. The mobile version launches worldwide on iOS and Android on September 17, 2026.

Konami Digital Entertainment released a free browser-based minigame on September 9, 2026, bringing together the psychological horror game SILENT HILL f and Urban Myth Dissolution Center (developed by Hakababunko), a mystery adventure about unraveling strange occurrences. In the minigame, SILENT HILL f protagonist Shimizu Hinako wanders into a building in the fog and meets characters from Urban Myth Dissolution Center; it contains no jump scares. A newly drawn illustration by kera, who handled character and creature design for SILENT HILL f, was also released.
