Capcom announced the new feature “Boost Bracer” for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, on September 2, 2026.

The Boost Bracer is a gauntlet-like piece of equipment that hunters wear on their left arm. Activating it temporarily enhances the hunter’s actions, unlocking moves and follow-up actions that are normally unavailable. Its functions fall into two broad categories: one triggers a powerful attack upon activation, and the other puts the hunter into a state where multiple actions are enhanced for a set time. What gets enhanced differs by weapon type.

Alongside the announcement, Capcom also released an introduction video offering a complete overview of the Boost Bracer. It shows the motion after activating the equipment and the flow of enhanced actions.

Weapon-specific videos also began the same day. The first video focuses on the Great Sword, showing how the weapon moves once the Boost Bracer is activated. The footage includes a move that cancels out a two-hit combo attack, along with a follow-up combo after staggering a monster.

On its official X account, Capcom says it plans to post an action showcase video for each supported weapon type every day from September 2 through September 15. The Great Sword is the first of these, with videos for other weapon types continuing through September 15.
