The Super Famicom Version of Wizardry Ⅵ: Bane of the Cosmic Forge Heads to Steam
Drecom has announced that it is bringing Wizardry Ⅵ: Bane of the Cosmic Forge (SFC Version), released only on the Super Famicom in 1995, to Steam. D4Enterprise handled the development. The Super Famicom version had become so hard to find that it fetched premium prices on the resale market, and this Steam release is part of the series’ 45th-anniversary project. The only confirmed language so far is Japanese.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Completes Its 14 Weapon Videos with the Long Sword
Capcom has released the “Long Sword” entry in its weapon introduction video series for the large-scale expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. The new Boost Bracer adds a reverse diagonal upward slash from the sheathed stance, a follow-up strike after a clash, and faster combo strings. With the Long Sword video, all 14 weapon types now have their own introduction videos. Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is set to launch in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).

PICROSS S CLIMAX Picks 1,020 Puzzles from 9 Series Entries, Launching December 10
Jupiter will release the puzzle game PICROSS S CLIMAX on December 10, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. It features 1,020 puzzles selected from the series’ nine previous entries, from PICROSS S to PICROSS S9 — 450 Picross puzzles, 450 Mega Picross puzzles, and 90 Color Picross puzzles. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also get a physical release, a first for the series. Up to four people can play together at the same time using button controls.

Taito’s Fighting Game PSYCHIC FORCE 2012 Comes to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam
Taito’s fighting game PSYCHIC FORCE 2012 is being ported to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). The game first hit arcades in 1998, and its signature feature is an omnidirectional battle system that allows full 360-degree movement. In 2012, a high-resolution version ran on the NESiCAxLive arcade service; the number in the title does not refer to that year. Cosmo Machia Inc. is handling the port, which is scheduled to launch sometime in 2027. A playable demo will also be shown at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026, running September 17 to 21.

Higurashi When They Cry’s Mahjong Game Gets a Remaster with a New Scenario Supervised by Ryukishi07
City Connection has announced Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Jong REMASTER, a remaster of a two-player mahjong game originally released in 2009, launching in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). Players sit at the mahjong table with characters from the mystery visual novel Higurashi When They Cry, who are brought to life through more than 7,000 frames of animation. The remaster also includes a new scenario supervised by original creator Ryukishi07. It includes three cheat features: guaranteeing a bonus win in the turn right after declaring readiness, canceling an opponent’s win, and stacking the starting hand. The languages listed on its Steam page so far are Japanese and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional); English is not currently included.
