The 1996 arcade polygon shooter XEVIOUS 3D/G is coming to three current-gen consoles.

HAMSTER Brings XEVIOUS 3D/G to Arcade Archives 2 on September 24

HAMSTER Corporation will release XEVIOUS 3D/G, the 3D polygonal shooter released by NAMCO in 1996, on September 24 through its Arcade Archives 2 port series. The 1996 arcade release turned the original Xevious into 3D, adding new camera work along with new weapons and enemies. This port supports VRR (variable refresh rate), allowing it to more closely reproduce the behavior of the original arcade version. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Shiren the Wanderer Hits a New Steam Concurrent-Player High of 1,552

Spike Chunsoft’s Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island hit a new Steam concurrent-player high of 1,552 on September 21, topping the 1,492 players it saw right after its December 2024 launch. The Steam sale ran through September 18, and Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- launched on September 9. Players descend into turn-based dungeons that reshuffle with each run; if they’re defeated, they lose their items and restart from level 1. They can also use Rescue to call on other players for help online.

China’s Cinderia Adds Two-Player Co-op, Reveals Footage of a Fifth Playable Character

Cinderia, a roguelite action game from China’s MyACG Studio, has added a two-player co-op mode and revealed footage of a fifth playable character. The game’s lead director says worldbuilding and story are still what the project needs most, and wants to add around two more playable characters. MyACG Studio started as a Touhou Project fan circle and was founded in 2016. The game entered Early Access in March 2026, and as of September 23 it had more than 4,700 Steam reviews rated “Very Positive.” Full release is planned for March 2027.
