Eternal Palace Sakura, a Roguelite Labyrinth Where Lingering Works Against You, Launches November 4
Eternal Palace Sakura, a 3D roguelite action game developed by Denneko Yuugi and published by Denneko Yuugi and Shochiku, launches on Steam on November 4. You control a cat-eared hero, taking down enemies with combo attacks as you push through a labyrinth whose floors get shuffled. Rewards unlock special moves called Arts, and more than 50 upgrade items let you shape your build. The longer you stay in the labyrinth, the more random debuffs hit you and the stronger enemies get. The demo has been updated too. The game supports English text, but its voice acting is available only in Japanese.

STORY OF SEASONS: Your Wonderful Life Goes MR, Letting You Tend the Farm With Your Hands
Marvelous Inc. will release STORY OF SEASONS: Your Wonderful Life, the series’ first MR (mixed reality) title, in spring 2027. It supports Meta VR Glasses, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. You don’t use controllers: you run your hands over the fields to tend them and pinch buildings to move them. Minigames include milking cows and shearing sheep.

NTE: Neverness to Everness Opens the Pukaland Amusement Park in Ver. 1.4
NTE: Neverness to Everness, an urban open-world action RPG from Chinese developer Hotta Studio, has released Ver. 1.4, “For Whom the Verses Mourn.” The new area, an amusement park called Pukaland, has a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster, along with a maze, a timing-based swing and a shooting gallery minigame. Blackbird, a new limited S-rank character, is available until October 21. The minigame Volley Star gets multiplayer support, and a Porsche collaboration vehicle joins the game as well. NTE is playable on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android.

Taito’s 1980 Arcade Game BALLOON BOMBER Comes to Arcade Archives
HAMSTER Corporation will release BALLOON BOMBER, a 1980 arcade game from TAITO CORPORATION, on October 1. You move an anti-aircraft gun and shoot down balloon bombs as they sway their way down. Hit a balloon and the bomb drops, leaving a hole in the ground that limits your movement, so you have to aim precisely at the bomb itself. The game supports one or two players. The Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions will be released as part of Arcade Archives; the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be released as part of Arcade Archives 2.

Kyofu Yawa: The Second Night, a Horror Visual Novel of Three Ghost Stories on a Rainy Night, Launches October 14
Kyofu Yawa: The Second Night, a horror visual novel that Himeko is developing solo, launches on Steam on October 14. You play a writer for an occult magazine who hears three people’s accounts of paranormal experiences in an old café on a rainy night. You choose which story to hear first, and the choices you make after each story lead to four routes. Playtime is about 2 to 2.5 hours, twice as long as the previous game. The official listing shows Japanese as the supported language.
