DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 Remastered Hits 9,017 Players on Steam

DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered has reached a peak of 9,017 concurrent players on Steam. The game launched on October 1, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Of 635 Steam user reviews, 85% are positive, for a “Very Positive” rating. Both figures are as of October 2, as reported by AUTOMATON.

According to AUTOMATON, players credit two things: graphics and controls polished to modern standards with the original’s core gameplay still intact, and rank-and-file enemy soldiers who attack on their own.

Playing with a friend means split screen, at least for now. Musou Mode, Free Mode, and VS Mode all support two-player split-screen play. Two-player online co-op isn’t available at launch and is planned for a post-launch update.

Koei Tecmo Games rebuilt the game that came out as DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 in English-speaking markets (it is numbered 2 in Japan), along with its expansion, DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Xtreme Legends. On the battlefield, you cut through enemy armies alone and take down their officers. The graphics are rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, and more than 40 officers are playable.

New additions include Perfect Power Guard and Weapon Fusion. Players who want controls closer to the original can switch to Classic Settings. Ziluan from DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS also joins as a new character. On PC, all mouse and keyboard controls can be remapped.

Xtreme Legends contributes seven character stories, new weapons, and more.

A launch-day update fixed multiple bugs.

Time a guard against a strong enemy’s attack and Perfect Power Guard stuns them. In battles spent carving through huge armies, that looks likely to add moments where you stop and read a single tough enemy’s swing.
