Capcom’s all-new IP Pragmata has surpassed 2.5 million units sold worldwide.

On July 28, Capcom announced earnings for the first quarter (April-June 2026) of its fiscal year ending March 2027. Net sales came to ¥70.41 billion, up 54.7% year on year. Operating profit was ¥41.054 billion (up 66.9%), ordinary profit was ¥41.452 billion (up 81.1%), and net profit was ¥29.159 billion (up 69.2%) — a sharp rise in both revenue and profit.

Driving that growth was Pragmata, a new title released during the quarter. Capcom’s earnings materials state that the company “released Pragmata, a fresh sci-fi action-adventure game, as an all-new IP, and carried out aggressive promotion” (translated from Japanese), and the game has sold more than 2.5 million units worldwide.

Sales of back-catalog titles also grew. Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 8 million units in cumulative sales, and Devil May Cry 5 has surpassed 14 million units in cumulative sales. Total quarterly unit sales for repeat titles reached 21.26 million, up sharply from 13.36 million in the same quarter a year earlier.

Capcom, however, has left its full-year forecast unchanged: net sales of ¥210 billion (up 7.5% from the previous fiscal year) and operating profit of ¥83 billion (up 10.2%). Even after factoring in the strong first quarter, Capcom did not revise its annual outlook.
