New IP PRAGMATA has sold 2.7 million units worldwide, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first new Onimusha game in about 20 years, is at 1.7 million. Capcom released the latest numbers for both on October 27, 2026, in its results for the six months from April to September 2026. Onimusha’s platforms include PlayStation 5 and Steam. On Steam, both games support English audio.
How well can a new IP sell without a series name behind it? PRAGMATA, a sci-fi action-adventure, launched on April 17, 2026, and had already passed 2.5 million units by Capcom’s April–June results.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword launched on September 3, 2026, and has grown from 1 million on day one to 1.7 million. With the new game counted, the series total stands at 11 million. It also took two awards at gamescom award 2026.
Unit sales grew beyond the two new games. Capcom sold 36.86 million units from April to September, up from 23.85 million in the same period a year earlier. Of those units, 32.18 million came from catalog titles, as Capcom calls its older games (22.85 million a year earlier). Those sales covered 260 titles across 239 countries and regions.
Among catalog titles, Devil May Cry 5 passed 14 million units, and the 2023 remake of Resident Evil 4, among others, also sold more. Resident Evil Requiem’s total has reached 8 million.
Capcom said sales and profit for April to September both exceeded year-earlier levels, and credited sales across its lineup, including its newest releases. It left its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 unchanged and said it is on track to meet it.
