Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Demo Launches October 1, Progress Carries Over to the Full Game
Konami Digital Entertainment announced on the TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 stage that a demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, which launches October 15, will be available starting October 1. According to Konami, progress from the demo, including character levels, carries over to the full game to some extent. The game is the first release in the Castlevania series’ 40th-anniversary project, and its new protagonist is Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont. It’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A release date for the Nintendo Switch version has not been set.

Street Fighter 6 and Star Detective Precure! Team Up for a Four-Episode Battle Hub Mystery
Capcom announced a collaboration between Street Fighter 6 and the anime Star Detective Precure! on the TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 stage. Cure Answer and the rest of the Precure team, along with anime-style versions of Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, team up to solve a case set in the Battle Hub, the game’s shared online space. The four-episode series begins streaming December 17, 2026.

Persona 4 Revival Casts Ryotaro Okiayu as Ryotaro Dojima, New Feature Lets Players Explore Inaba’s Past
ATLUS announced during a special program that Ryotaro Okiayu will voice Ryotaro Dojima in Persona 4 Revival, taking over the role from the late Unsho Ishizuka, who voiced the character in the original game. Aika Nakamura, an anime-original character and the poster girl of the Aiya diner, also appears. In the new Location Episodes feature, players use photographs as clues to explore Inaba’s past, uncovering Chie Satonaka’s childhood and Yosuke Hanamura’s junior high school days.

Japan Game Awards 2026 Future Division Honors 10 Titles, Including FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION
The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced the Japan Game Awards 2026 Future Division winners at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026. The award covers unreleased titles that were announced or shown at the venue. The winners are FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, Persona 4 Revival, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, Danganronpa 2x2, ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, and Magical Girl Taboo Village.

Suikoden II Gets Its First Stage Adaptation, Runs in Tokyo and Osaka in July 2027
Konami Digital Entertainment announced a stage play based on Suikoden II at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026. It marks the series’ second stage adaptation, following one based on the previous game. The production is split into two parts; Part One runs July 3-19, 2027, at Theater H in Tokyo, and July 24-25 at Sky Theater MBS in Osaka. Toshiki Kumagai, who also plays protagonist Riliu in the anime version, takes on the role for the stage.
