Roger Jr., the baby kangaroo, joins TEKKEN 8 alongside his mother. Season Pass 3 owners can play him from November 12, and everyone else from November 17. The trailer introducing him ends with Yujiro Hanma of Baki, shown in his in-game form for the first time.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released a gameplay trailer for Roger Jr. at Evo France 2026 on October 11. His mother, a kangaroo, does the fighting, and Roger Jr. rides in her pouch. One of her special moves sends the opponent to the moon. Roger Jr. was last playable in TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 in 2012, roughly 14 years ago.
Yujiro Hanma’s arrival was announced in May. He is part of Season Pass 3 and is due in early 2027. A dedicated trailer has been announced for January 17, 2027.

Maru Kaite Dokan! Turns Drawn Shapes Into Weapons in a 2-to-8-Player Versus Tower Defense Game
Solo developer soyukke has announced Maru Kaite Dokan! for PC (Steam). It is an online versus tower defense game for two to eight players, in which each player defends their own notebook. There is no release date yet, but a demo that runs in PC and smartphone browsers is up on itch.io.
Enemies follow a winding path drawn on the notebook toward your base, and what you draw decides how you fight back. A circle is a turret: the bigger it is, the more range and power it has, and stacking circles powers them up. A line is a wall, and the longer it is, the tougher it gets. A triangle is a mine. A spiral becomes a Spiral Turret that sends the enemies it hits running backward, a thin triangle becomes a Pizza Mine that enemies swarm, and a wide rectangle becomes a Futon that puts enemies to sleep. Every drawing uses ink, and a sloppy one can fail. Characters drawn by other players can also show up as enemies.

Ratatan, From the Creator of PATAPON, Reaches Version 1.0 on October 15
Ratatan, a roguelike action game from Hiroyuki Kotani, known as the creator of PATAPON, reaches Version 1.0 on October 15. It launches worldwide at the same time on Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
You lead Ratatan and the Cobun to meet the goddess in the heavens. To direct the Cobun, you enter commands in rhythm, timing each one to land right as the bars overlap. Miss an input and the Cobun stop moving for a while. Between stages you collect cards and combine them, then rework your weapons and formation on Rataport, your base island. On Steam, up to four players can play online co-op.

Nippon Ichi Software’s Farming Sim Village in the Shade Launches October 27
Village in the Shade, a farming sim developed by Nippon Ichi Software, launches October 27 from NIS America. It comes to Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5, with English support.
The game is set in Kagatsu, a mountain village in Japan. You grow crops, set up your home and get to know the villagers. The official pitch says a quiet country life is yours to enjoy only as long as you follow the rules.
