New STRANGER THAN HEAVEN Trailer: The Stowaway Route Leads to Kokura

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the team behind the Like a Dragon series, is developing the game. The hero, Makoto Daito, stows away after suffering persecution in America. The footage shows his meeting with Yu Shinjo, what waits in Kokura, Japan, at the end of a long voyage, and the events that lead Daito to become a showman, all set to jazz and rap. The story runs through five eras and five cities between 1915 and 1965, and Kokura is one of them. The game launches January 15, 2027, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), and comes to Xbox Game Pass the same day.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Gets Classic Mai and Terry Costumes on October 22

SNK is releasing classic costumes for Mai Shiranui and Terry Bogard in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves on October 22. Mai trades the game’s biker suit for a look closer to the kunoichi (female ninja) outfit familiar from the series. Terry’s costume recreates the red vest and cap from the early games. Mai’s costume comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition also launches digitally that day, with Mai’s costume as its preorder bonus. Switch 2 players can buy it separately starting January 21, 2027.

Quiet Express: Cabin 909 Demo Loops a Week on a Train That Derails on Day 7

A Steam demo is out for Quiet Express: Cabin 909, the new game from STUDIO 909. Kazuhide Oka directs and writes it. You live the same seven days over and over on a transcontinental train, working from the rear car toward the front. Each coupling door gives you three randomly drawn cars to choose from, such as a dining car, a greenhouse car, or a freight car. You can reroll the draw, and an item raises the choices to four. How you assemble the train can get you past locked doors and unresponsive switches, and open a path to a hidden attic. On Day 7 the train derails and burns, and if you die, you go back to Day 1. The demo includes several ways to prevent the derailment and runs about 30 minutes. The full game is planned for 2027.
