Crimson Desert, From Korea: Charting the Unknown DLC Takes the Game to Sea
The DLC has you gather materials, build a ship, and sail between islands in search of ruins and treasure. You can explore underwater, too. At sea you fight enemy forces, and on the islands you build a base alongside members of the Greymanes. Back in Pywel, the DLC adds romance and marriage, building a home from the ground up, three castles to claim and decorate, and running businesses such as restaurants and blacksmith shops.

ACE COMBAT 8 Adjusts Enemy Flares in Mission 28 With October 23 Update
Bandai Namco Entertainment will release update Ver. 1.01.002 for ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE on October 23. In the campaign, it adjusts the flare limit for Shadow 22, the enemy unit you fight in Mission 28. Enemies in Mission 15 are also adjusted on ELITE difficulty and above. In ACE COMBAT ONLINE, the online versus mode, the ECM, ESM, and IEWS special weapons will have shorter effect durations. The Steam version adds an Async Compute toggle. None of the new values have been disclosed.

Palworld’s Next Update Is “Side by Side,” Due Winter 2026
Palworld’s next update is Palworld: Side by Side, arriving in winter 2026. What’s in it hasn’t been revealed. The announcement image shows the silhouettes of three people. Pocketpair also announced the results of the Palworld Global Popularity Poll 2026. The Pal category included more than 280 Pals, and Sekhmet took first place. In the character category, Zoe came in first. Palworld is playable on PC (Steam), Xbox, and PlayStation 5, and supports English.

Chronoscript: The Endless End Is Coming to Xbox Series X|S, and the Steam Demo Gets an Update
SHUEISHA GAMES announced that Chronoscript: The Endless End will also release on Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox version joins the PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) versions, with release set for 2027. It’s an exploration action-adventure starring an editor trapped inside a manuscript, who moves between a 2D world drawn on manuscript pages and a 3D manor to bring an ending to a story that has gone on, unending, for a thousand years. The Steam demo has been updated based on player feedback, with improved controls, a new difficulty option, and a reworked UI. The game supports English.

SQUARE ENIX’s FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE joins Xbox Game Pass on October 29. It will be available on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass, across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The game remakes the original’s story up to the escape from Midgar, and it includes FF7R EPISODE INTERmission, an added episode starring Yuffie.
