Kotaro Uchikoshi’s Crash Keys Eyes Next Spring for Its Next Project Reveal
Kotaro Uchikoshi, who worked on Zero Escape and AI: The Somnium Files, told Game*Spark about his new company, Crash Keys. Founded in March 2025, the company had planned to announce itself in 2027 together with a new game, but moved the announcement up to this October after that game was canceled. When the cancellation was decided, Uchikoshi said, he spent three days and nights in bed and couldn’t bring himself to do anything. The company’s name comes from an organization in Zero Escape and is also meant to suggest writing scenarios so hard the keyboard breaks. The next project will be revealed around next spring, possibly sooner, Uchikoshi said. Alongside original games, the company also takes contract work to keep the team together. Uchikoshi remains at Too Kyo Games as well.
