The remake arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5. Some of the people building it never played the original. The graphics have been rebuilt from scratch, and the game adds a free camera, jumping and dashing, and voice input such as humming.

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE Took Its Source Episodes Apart and Rebuilt Them

The director of FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE, which launched in October, wrote out every episode of the source material and broke them all apart, according to a Famitsu interview. The source material is the mobile game FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS, and RESONANCE is based on its Season 1 scenario. It is the first HD-2D game in the series. The story was reassembled to fit the exploration and pacing of a console RPG. The project reportedly began as something small, like a pixel-art recap compilation. All 26 Visions, the game’s counterpart to summons, appear, and each was adjusted so that all of them are worth using.
