On August 30, 2026, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a major overhaul — officially called the Year-End Overhaul — planned for later this year for DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA, developed by GANBARION Co., Ltd. The current overhead view will be replaced with an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective, and the rules will be revised so that the team collecting the most Dragon Balls within the time limit wins. A simplification of the role system is also planned. Season 7, marking one year since the game’s launch, will begin on September 9 and will introduce Super Gogeta as one of three new heroes.

Kenjaku and Naoya Zenin will be added as new boss characters in JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, developed by poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors. TOEI GAMES to Make First Appearance at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 With Three Playable Titles

TOEI GAMES Inc. will exhibit for the first time at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026, running from September 17 to 21, 2026. The lineup consists of three titles: HINO (developed by UnGloomStudio), in which a girl carrying a Lightbulb Cane solves the mysteries of a world of darkness; KILLA (developed by Black Tangerine), a detective adventure in which the main character uses the ability known as [Resonance] to track down the suspect who killed their mentor; and DEBUG NEPHEMEE (developed by Nephemee Studio), a multitasking battle game in which players control four screens at once to repair a world infested with bugs. All three titles are for PC (Steam), and the booth will also feature a custom claw machine made by TOEI GAMES.

China-Developed I_NORI Lets Players Converse in First Person With an AI Character That Remembers Their Words and Actions

I_NORI, a new narrative adventure game developed in China, was featured in a Game*Spark article introducing Asian indie titles. The first-person 3D game centers on Nori, an AI chatbot-like character that remembers what the player says and does and develops emotional responses over time. It was only just announced on August 11, 2026, and currently supports only Simplified Chinese.
